Erin Metcalf
Owner
Erin is the proud new owner of Creative Beginnings II as of August 2024. First and foremost, she’s a devoted mom to two wonderful children, who inspire her daily and fuel her passion for early childhood education. With a BA in Child Development from Fresno State and a MA in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood from UCSB, Erin brings both academic expertise and hands-on experience. She has served in roles ranging from Lead Teacher to Assistant Director and Education Coordinator. In 2016, she launched her own home-based program, Young Explorers Preschool, and is now thrilled to bring that same passion and dedication to the Creative Beginnings II community.
Johna Emerick
Director
Ms. Johna is thrilled to welcome children and their families into her classroom, as well as the center. With over 10 years of experience in early childhood education, she has developed a deep passion for teaching preschool. She finds immense joy in supporting young learners during this formative stage, which she sees as a time full of wonder, growth, and discovery. Ms. Johna feels truly honored to be part of each child’s early learning journey and is excited to carry on her love for education on the administrative side, all while shaping new program ideas and building strong relationships between the families and our community.
Faith Jordan
Teacher
Ms. Faith has been working in early childhood education for four years and has always had a natural connection with children. Long before entering the field professionally, she was the go-to caregiver in her family—an experience that sparked her passion for working with young learners. She is dedicated to creating a nurturing and engaging environment where children can explore, grow, and discover new things each day. The most rewarding part of her work is being a positive part of each child’s learning journey and helping them build confidence through curiosity and discovery.

Allison Nunn
Teacher
Ms. Allison has been teaching preschool since 2018 and brings a deep passion for early childhood education to the classroom. She finds great joy in watching young minds grow, thrive, and reach new milestones. At home, she enjoys life with her daughter and their beloved pets—two dogs, a bunny, and a hamster. Ms. Allison looks forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, and meaningful growth alongside her students and their families.
